VACATION

Jay and I had a wonderful time earlier this week on our family vacation/reunion.  Unfortunately he wasn't able to get of the entire week so instead of Saturday to Saturday our part of the vacation was Sunday to Wednesday but it was great.  Below is a "abbreviated" breakdown of how the week went:

Sunday:  6:00am Jay comes home
              7:00am Jay can't sleep so we pack the car to go
              7:30am we leave and stop at Walmart in Gastonia to pick up a car charger
              8:00am at Walmart we realize Jay's wallet is at home so we head 30 minutes back to pick it up
              8:30am on the road to TN!!!
              9:30am we drive under a funnel cloud as we are traveling on I-40
              10:30am we drive through a blizzard
              11:30am driving through driving rain
              3:30pm Hello Nashville...oh wait, it's actually 2:30...who knew there was a time change?!
              6:30pm Everyone loads up and heads to The Station Inn for some blue grass and pickin'.
                            We ate greasy pizza, nachos and cheese and had beer.  At this point Jay had been
                             up for 36 hours so we headed back to the hotel.

Monday:  9:00am Phone call from Philip he and Melissa are ENGAGED!!!
               10:00am The Just dance party begins
               11:00am The Vissers head out to the Urgent care w/ poor Leah (Ear, Eye, Sinus & Upper
                             Respiratory infections, yuck)
               1:00pm  HOT TUB ooooooo yeah!!!
               6:30pm Taco Mamacitas.  Delicious Mexican and Margaritas! 
               9:00pm Jay and I head back to the hotel so he can rest and we end up playing Dr. Mario
                           while everyone else is out Karaoking but that didn't last too long for some of them.
Tuesday:  4:00am Kyle and Ethan wake Carla up.  She thinks they are on the balcony but they are in the
                            hot tub across the lawn, security comes to get them out.  The story is that he was nice
                             and helped them figure out how to get out of the pool area
                11:00am  We find out about the hot tub incident and see that Kyle gave Ethan a black eye and
                               Ethan gave Kyle a swollen jaw.  They realized in their drunken stooper that neither
                              had been in a fight so they decided to hit each other on the walk home from the bar.
                12:00pm Jay and I head to Franklin, TN and find some cute little shops and then have lunch.
                1:30pm  HOT TUB BABY!!!!!!
                4:30pm  Surprise!  Cousin Katie shows up to hang out w/ us!!
                6:30pm Grand Old Opry.  What an awesome time we had.  The entire family was able to hear
                            some awesome music!  Jay, Momma B, Rachel, Katie and I ditched everyone else that
                            went to Shoney's and we went to McDonald's.
Wednesday:  10:00am Another Just Dance Party!!!  I got skillz!
                    12:00pm Heading on over to the Opryland Gaylord.  AWESOME hotel and conference
                                  center.  Lots of atriums and we went on a riverboat ride. 
                    2:30pm  (3:30 our time) Jay and I leave the family and head back to NC.  BUMMER! :(
                    9:30pm  6 hours later we are in Huntersville picking up Donatos Pizza, Wings and bread.

All in all it was a good vacation.  MUCH better than I thought it was going to be thanks to all the prayers from my Small Group peeps! :)
